May. 13th, 2009 12:32 pmFirst, two new scans of Gyakuten Kenji. Ema Skye, you guys! Ema Skye with a ridiculous hat talking to Edgeworth (even though this vaguely annoys me because it is a canon retcon)! Mike Meekins being The Blue Badger (which is also a canon retcon, actually)! Maggey and her weirdly cute hat (definitely not a retcon as I can see Maggey having wacky hats)! Annoying retconning aside, I am excited for this.
Second, I haven't posted to LJ in probably a week or so. This is pretty shocking to me since I usually figure out something to talk about... but I haven't. I've just been really burned out, and I'm going to bed early a lot. We're really busy, and that is an understatement. Planners and customers constantly coming to us, wanting to push things ahead and prioritize this and that, and the fact that our lab is a mess -- it's just making for a really stressful work environment. It's better than being bored, but this is all the way at the other end of the spectrum, and it's just as undesirable as having nothing to do. I go at full capacity every day and when I leave, there's still so much work pouring in that I feel like I didn't get anything done. It's just so frustrating. Despite how much work sucks, I like it. I like this job. That doesn't even make logical sense. what is this i don't even
Third, I've been tweeting about this, but I signed up to be a patient with my mom's chiropractor. His name is Dr. Reuben and he has a LOT of licenses. Like ten. At least. He's very funny and said that he hadn't used the x-ray machine at such a low setting in a really long time, even with kids (because I weigh practically nothing).
I didn't mention this too much, but I was in a car "accident" back in April where we got rear-ended. It was more like a tap, but it dented the back of the car nicely enough to make the trunk annoying to open. Anyway, apparently you can sustain ligature damage even with an impact at 5 mph. He told me I have a left translation, which means that my head is out of alignment and everything else is shifting to the right to make up for it. My mom has the same problem, which is hilarious. I apparently have a LOT of tension on the right side of my neck, at the base of my skull. The tension there was literally 9000% too high. I am NOT KIDDING, that's what the scan said. OVER 9000.
I also have higher sensory perception on my left side (more sensitive to touch) and I have tension in the middle of my back on the left side, and on the right side of my lower back. He said that what I have is not serious, and that it was a good thing I decided to come in when the accident only happened a few weeks ago. Apparently people come in months or years after an accident with extensive ligature damage that could have been prevented had they properly aligned themselves while their bodies were healing (your body takes a few months, I think he said 3 or so, to heal ligature damage from an accident, depending on the severity). He's not sure that I have any damage, but my mom does, so he is betting I do as well. I'll know more once he goes over my x-rays with me next Tuesday. He didn't do any aligning because he said he wanted to go over my charts first.
Other than that, I got nothing. I'm trying furiously to catch up on Air Gear, replaying Persona 4, and anxiously awaiting new episodes of Eden of the East.
